We travel to China and buy every tea on this site in person, from the farmer who made it. We taste each lot at the table, often against alternates from the same village, before we agree to take any home.
Everything on the site is traditional Chinese tea. Aged whites from Fuding, sun-dried red tea from Lincang, hand-fired Longjing from inside the West Lake protected origin, traditional pinewood-smoked Lapsang from Wuyi. We don't blend or flavour anything, and every tea is named by its village, farmer, and harvest year.
The shop is for people who'd rather know what they're brewing than be sold a feeling about it.
The shop is run by Daniil and Alisa, both in the UAE. We started Jade & Sakura after years of drinking Chinese tea seriously and not being able to buy locally what we'd already tasted at the source.
The first sourcing trip was in 2025. The shop launched the following year. Both of us travel for the lots and taste at the table together, and we only stock what we'd reach for at home. The catalog is small on purpose and grows when we find a tea that earns its place.
Beyond the leaf itself, what pulls us in is the ritual and the slow attention tea asks of you. That's part of what the shop is for.
