Bai Mu Dan has been aging since 2014, putting it well into what old Fuding tradition calls “seven years treasure.” Twelve years of slow development have replaced the fresh floral notes of a young white tea with deep honey, dried fruit, dates, and a woody warmth that lingers long after the last sip. In a drip bag format.

Bai Mu Dan uses one bud and two young leaves together, giving it a fuller body and a richer, more layered flavor than bud-only white teas, while still keeping the characteristic gentleness of white tea.
This version has been aging since 2014, which puts it well into the category that old Fuding tea tradition calls “seven years treasure.” Twelve years of slow, natural development have transformed the tea entirely: the fresh floral notes of a young white tea are long gone, replaced by deep honey, dried fruit, dates, and a warm woody character that lingers well after the last sip.
The drip bag format removes the need for a gaiwan or teapot, but the brewing approach remains the same: quality water, proper temperature, and attention to each steep. The result in the cup is unchanged, a rich, smooth, deeply complex brew with no bitterness and a long, sweet finish.

Fuding in Fujian Province is widely considered the birthplace of Chinese white tea, and the region where the style’s defining standards were established. The area has a mild, humid climate with abundant rainfall and frequent mist, conditions that slow the development of the tea leaf and allow its natural flavors to concentrate gradually. Fuding is home to two native cultivars, Da Bai and Da Hao, which have been cultivated here for generations and are the foundation of all authentic Fuding white tea. The best leaves are harvested by hand in early spring, when the buds are at their most tender.
